Public Art at SFO: Craig Calderwood, The Only Blue is the Sky

This video was produced by SFO Museum in conjunction with the April 2024 installation of Craig Calderwood's The Only Blue is the Sky in Harvey Milk Terminal 1 at the San Francisco International Airport (SFO).

Established by charter in 1932, the San Francisco Arts Commission is the city agency that champions the arts. With each new construction project, the Arts Commission has the opportunity to work with a diverse group of artists to create an atmosphere that reflects the innovation and creativity for which San Francisco is known and celebrated throughout the world. The Arts Commission has shaped an unparalleled public art collection at SFO, with more than 100 works presented in locations throughout the Airport's terminals and properties.

Thank you to Precita Eyes Muralists for their wonderful work and collaboration, including Susan Cervantes, Eli Lippert, Ellen Silva, Jared Mar, Richard Bolinbroke, Kerra Hendrickson and Paola Reyes Melendez.
