Global/Borderless Caribbean XII: Focus Miami is an outdoor exhibition which includes works by artists from the Miami region, or of Caribbean descent, exemplifying the multiplicity of histories, nationalities and ethnicities that define and connect Caribbean culture, all exhibited on the facade of the complex. On view in the exhibition is a reproduction of Azaceta’s 2011 canvas Shifting States - Egypt, from his larger series which distills recognizable imagery such as cityscapes and weapons of mass destruction into abstract forms.
