Gregory Gillespie is included a group exhibition at the Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University, Boston, MA, celebrating the museum’s 60th anniversary.
re: collection, Six Decades at the Rose Art Museum considers the museum’s permanent collection by juxtaposing well-known artworks alongside those by historically significant yet underrepresented artists. On view in the exhibition is this Untitled painting by Gillespie from 1965, an example of his close study of renaissance painting techniques while living in Italy, as well as his interest in spirituality and devotional objects.
This exhibition is on long-term view at the Rose Art Museum, find more information here.
