Enrique Chagoya is included in the exhibition The Art of Food: From the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and his Family Foundations at the University of Arizona Museum of Art, Tucson, AZ.

The exhibition showcases how some of the most prominent artists of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries have considered this universal subject. On view is Chagoya’s ‘The Enlightened Savage,’ 2002, a multiple of ten “Cannibull’s Soup” cans that reimagines traditional soup names to reflect different facets of the art works, such as “Cream of Dealer” and “Artist’s Brains.” Other artists in the exhibition include Damien Hirst, Hung Liu, Lorna Simpson and Andy Warhol.

The Art of Food is on view at the University of Arizona Art Museum through March 20, 2022.
