Enrique Chagoya is the subject of a solo exhibition at the Triton Museum of Art. Aliens is a survey of the artist's career: works included illustrate the artist drawing from his experiences living on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border in the late '70s, and also in Europe in the late '90s. Chagoya juxtaposes secular, popular, and religious symbols to address the ongoing cultural clash between the United States, Latin America and the world.
The exhibition is on view through April 19, and there will be an opening reception on March 7 from 2-4pm. More information here.
