Enrique Chagoya has an upcoming solo exhibition at the Hallie Ford Museum of Art at Willamette University. Enrique Chagoya: Reverse Anthropology features Chagoya's deceptively subversive prints that explore issues of immigration, colonialism, the economy, the government, the commodification of art, and the recurring subject of cultural clash that continues to riddle contemporary life. Chagoya's "reverse anthropology" uses complex visual and textual narratives to reexamine traditional accounts about culture and inheritance. The exhibition will be on view from November 3 through January 27, 2019.
