Enrique Chagoya Print Room Talks graphic

Enrique Chagoya was recently the subject of a lecture at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art, IN. Sachi Yanari-Rizzo, Curator of Prints and Drawings at the museum, discussed Chagoya’s prints in-depth, mainly focusing on works in the museum’s permanent collection, as part of their series of Print Room Talks. In her lecture, Yanari-Rizzo touched upon the various influences on Chagoya’s work, such as his upbringing in Mexico City, his subsequent move to the San Francisco Bay Area in the 1970s, and artists who have continually inspired Chagoya such as Francisco Goya and Jose Guadalupe Posada.
