In the Drawing Gallery is an exhibition of ten collages by CHARLES MARSH, his second show of work from the 1990s at George Adams Gallery. An expanded version of the show will travel to the Greenville County Museum of Art in South Carolina. Marsh, who was born in Greenville in 1944, briefly studied at the California College of Arts and Crafts (now California College of the Arts) in the late 1950s before moving on to London and visiting Amsterdam. He returned to the US and settled in New York during the 1980s and began working in collage in the early 1990s. Marsh died in 2000. An illustrated catalogue with essays by Thyrza Nichols Goodeve and Gayle Rodda Kurtz will accompany the traveling exhibition.
