Recent paintings of New York by Andrew Lenaghan will be on view in the Drawing Gallery. The paintings range in size from 5 x 8 inches up to a 24 x 92 inch diptych of the Gowanus Canal. These works, painted from life in anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 weeks frequently from the back seat of his car, capture the architectural idiosyncrasies of storefronts, alleys, and empty streets of Coney Island, Long Island City, Chelsea, and Brooklyn.
